HALAMAN CRISTAL is a renovation project undertaken by KOYO Elevator in an older residential area of Penang, Malaysia.

Penang State, abbreviated as "Penang," is one of Malaysia's thirteen federal states. Covering an area of 1,049 square kilometers, it has a total population of 1.7668 million. Its state capital, George Town, is a major port city and Malaysia's second-largest city after the capital Kuala Lumpur. Penang is renowned not only for its harmonious multicultural development but also globally as an "electronics manufacturing hub." As Malaysia's most culturally vibrant region, it bears titles such as the "Emerald of the Indian Ocean" and the "Silicon Valley of the East." Its capital, George Town, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008.

Halaman Kristal is a residential complex in Penang, Malaysia, comprising multiple 31-story towers completed and operational since 2011. The elevators in the complex have been in operation for over a decade, experiencing frequent malfunctions. Investigation revealed that the primary cause of these failures stemmed from outdated control systems and equipment.
